The 62nd Grand National Rodeo, Horse & Stock Show, April 6 through 14, invites teachers and students to "School Tours 2007", an opportunity for children (6th grade & younger) to view the many ways that agriculture affects their lives. Reservations are required and must be made by completing the School Visit Reservation Form.

- Livestock Judging:
Sheep, Beef, & Cattle
- Quarter Horse Competition
- California CattleWomen Presentation (10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.)
Friday, April 13
- Livestock Judging:
Sheep & Dairy Goats
- Quarter Horse Competition
- California CattleWomen Presentation (10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m.)

SCHOOL TOUR FACTS |
Reservations? |
Must be on the Cow Palace School Visit reservation form.
A confirmation letter will be sent to teachers acknowledging acceptance of reservation. |
Cost? |
With an accepted reservation, school visits are free for students, teachers and chaperones. |
Parking? |
There is an $10.00 parking charge; however, if this is a hardship, a request for pre-paid parking tickets can be made.
On school letterhead, submit a request for the number of vehicles and reason for need.

Only schools with more than 8 children may request parking assistance. |
Time? |
Indicate your choices for arrival time. Your time will be noted in your confirmation letter.
Schools that are close by are encouraged to arrive after 10:30 a.m. to avoid an early morning lineup. Allow 2 hours for your visit. Time is not structured. |
Presentation? |
Given by The California CattleWomen (Beef/Ranching) and will last about 40 minutes. Presentations will be
held in the Auction/Sales Barn, with grandstand seating. The presentation will be repeated twice. |
Lunch? |
Bag lunches are allowed and may be eaten at any location, but no bottles are allowed. Please look for a receptacle to dispose of trash.
If eating in the Main Arena during horse show events, please sit in the upper stands and remain quiet during the competition. |
Applause? |
Of course, cheering is appreciated when the winners are announced. |
Tours? |
Tours of the barns are self-guided. Maps will be provided and volunteers will be on-hand to assist you.
You may stop wherever you choose and set your own pace. The only time structure is for the presentations. |
