THE EIGHTH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF WESTERN ART
SHOW & SALE |
Visitors & Collectors - Be sure to spend some time before or after the show, enjoying the "Celebration of Western Art," a very popular aspect of the western lifestyle. This juried art exhibit and sale features well known artists whose work portrays the life, people, animals, landscape and activities of the cowboy and the West.

CALL FOR ARTISTS |
This exhibit and sale is not a festival with booths - it is a gallery staffed at all times with sales personnel. Paintings and sculptures are exhibited in a specially designated and decorated area with excellent lighting. The exhibit space is adjacent to the wine tasting area, which shares part of the exhibit's sculpture garden. Space permitting, accepted artists may arrange to paint or sculpt on site and meet the public. Artists do not need to be present, and are not responsible for selling their work. Crowds are big and enthusiastic, and, after seven successful years, the public and art collectors come to the Grand National expecting to find wonderful Western art as part of the Rodeo and Horse Show experience.
Contact: Cynthia Kelly will serve as the Exhibit Coordinator for this Grand National produced event. For further information regarding entries, contact her at [email protected] or (510) 848-1277.
Call for Artists: Click here to download the Art Show Prospectus in MS Word (.doc) format.
Entry deadline is March 1, 2007.

The Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund
"It's a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out"
Flying hooves and swirling dust. Crowds screaming for a ride to break all records. As the competitors charge into the arena, their mind is focused on the action and the animal, not on their future if their ride results in a tragic fall.
With each ride, the contestant risks losing more than just a few days work. An injury can result in the competitor's inability to pay their rent or feed their family. When tragedy strikes in the arena, financial support is difficult and often impossible to obtain.
In 1991, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Women's Professional Rodeo Association and the Justin Boot Company combined their efforts to create a non-profit, tax-exempt (501-c-3) fund to assist participants and their families in the event of catastrophic injury. During its short term of existence, JCCF has awarded over $2.5 million in benefits to more than 225 individuals.
